Brand Identity
As the branding agency for Taco Love, we developed an engaging logo and style guide for a new Mexican- Asian fusion restaurant in St. Louis. With a vibrant interior inspired by Dia de los Muertos and a unique fused menu, Taco Love needed an identity that matched their lively ambiance while appealing to a hip demographic of 20-30-year-olds who are looking for something new in cuisine. Our goal was to create a logo, visual language, and guidelines that embodied the festive spirit of Taco Love to stand out in the competitive dining scene and speak to the foodies nearby.

Our challenge was creating a brand identity that seamlessly blended authentic Mexican culture with a fresh, fusion take on the cuisine and dining experience. While still implementing the convenience of a fast-food establishment, Taco Love aimed to deliver something of a higher quality to its customers, and the brand needed to resonate with the demographic. Carefully balancing thoughtful cultural celebrations with original, contemporary branding required strategic consideration.

SOLUTION
We hand-drew the graffiti-style lettering that feels nostalgic and current, speaking directly to the younger, bolder demographic. We brought the color palette to life through gradients and textures inspired by papel picado, floral motifs, and merch that would feel “cool” to anyone in the target demographic.
The website embodied the vibrant branding identity with dynamic visuals and bold graphics aligned with the lively aesthetic. The wall graphics, branded food wrapping, swag and more work together to deliver an immersive cultural experience. This provides a lively atmosphere grounded in cultural meaning.
Overall, the branding identity we created feels distinctly energetic while showing thoughtful reverence for Mexican culture.
To enhance convenience and align with consumer preferences, we designed an app and online ordering system that features the vibrant branding. This allows customers to easily access Taco Love’s menu, order ahead, and skip the line when picking up their freshly made fusion tacos, bowls and more.
The brand identity supported the leading demographics personality and expectations of a local late night taco spot with a flare of style and creativity.

The Taco Love color palette mixes bold and muted tones. Vibrant reds and yellows inject energy, inspired by festive Mexican décor. These bright hues balance earthy teals, blues, and purples that feel hip and contemporary. The fusion palette reflects Taco Love’s blend of traditional and modern elements.
