Story
Deco is a 350-unit apartment community in Denver, built for the young professionals arriving in the city every year and looking for something that actually feels like it belongs there. Uncomn was brought in to build a brand rooted in Denver's specific culture — not Colorado's generic postcard version of it.
Challenge
Denver's rental market was saturated and its multifamily branding was worse — generic mountain imagery, interchangeable color palettes, and identities that could belong to any city in the country. New residents to Denver were sophisticated enough to see through it. They weren't looking for a building that referenced Colorado. They were looking for one that understood it — the craft culture, the outdoor-first mindset, the particular mix of heritage and ambition that defines the city right now.
Solution
We built Deco around a single idea: authentically Denver. The brand identity draws on natural textures, hand-crafted logowork with black-foil stamping on printed collateral, and a palette of bold mountain hues that feels specific to place rather than aspirational in the abstract. The website spotlights neighborhood and community alongside interior finishes — because for this renter, location is the amenity. Photography and 3D renderings gave prospects a vivid sense of the lifestyle before the building was finished, and signage, fence wraps, and collateral carried the brand through every pre-opening touchpoint.
