About the project.
Developed by Ensemble Real Estate and managed by Greystar Real Estate Partners, The Crest is a 112-unit apartment community in Downtown Long Beach, CA. Wellness is deeply rooted in the center of this brand and we delivered insights to the developers that influenced amenity programming and the interior design package.
Long Beach is a hotspot for art, food, and people who have a particular zeal for life. Our research showed us that the target demographic was predominantly singles with a core age of mid-’20s with a large number of incoming prospects moving to the neighborhoo to attend Cal State University of Long Beach.
Based on our consumer study, we took a brand direction that was health and wellness-oriented. With the property just steps from the beach, Uncomn Projects incorporated the beautiful, coastal surroundings of Long Beach. The pictograms were designed to depict key areas of The Crest like ocean waves and the bike path. The Crest is where wellness meets the water and this laidback community, with easy access to the city and beach, is home to residents who are love to surf, skate, and bike.
Incorporating the brand into the collateral gives prospective residents an idea of the lifestyle at The Crest. Focusing on the primary brand colors, we designed a simple yet clean and elegant appearance collateral package. Due to the location of the building off of a main street, we recommended creative signage solutions with multiple A-frames on the high foot traffic street Ocean Blvd. to direct prospects to the leasing office.
The Crest website was launched at the end of 2019. The developers decided to use a cost-effective templated solution. Using our Premium theme, Uncomn created a unique branded experience with visuals that connected to the potential residents of Long Beach and messaging that communicated the benefits of wellness and community that could be enjoyed as a resident of The Crest.
